It all started with the annual Soy and Tofu Festival in San Francisco.
When asked to redesign the festival’s identity, the creators of Makimino
developed cute tofu characters that would appeal to the festival’s family
friendly audience. Following the huge success of the initial characters,
we developed additional designs which led to even greater demand for
more, ultimately resulting in the start of the Makimino brand!
